Welcome to our sixth season of outstanding theatre, dance, and music at the City Playhouse. In partnership with the City of Vaughan, the City Playhouse is committed to showcasing professional and community based theatre, performances in dance and music from professional and community based production companies, art exhibitions and multicultural events. Theatre education and Outreach Programs are also part of the City Playhouse mandate - opening our doors and establishing long-term connections with the community.

New for our 2009/10 season is our “All Canadian Series” . This series offers 11 professional theatre productions and stage readings starting in September 2009 and concluding in April 2010. Purchase all 11 shows in our “All Canadian Series” for the low price of $ 99.00. We are also pleased to welcome back City Youth Players with their productions of Honk! And the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Marquee Productions returns with the their productions of Big – The Musical and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Judy and David return with their Chanukah show – Jews Clues and their musical version of the classic story of little red riding hood – Red’s in the Hood. Shadowpath Theatre is pleased to offer the Canadian premier of The Good German which takes place during Holocaust Awareness Month in November. We are also happy to welcome back North Toronto Players with their production of Ruddygore. Don’t forget to take in the holidays with the Ontario Ballet Theatre production of The Nutcracker.
