Our residents have indicated that traffic congestion and air quality are amongst their biggest concerns. The City of Vaughan is serious about tackling these concerns through several ongoing programs.

The Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension

The subway is coming!

The Spadina –York Subway line will be extended into the Vaughan Corporate Centre providing better transit connections between Vaughan and all parts of the GTA.

  • 8.6 km long extension (204 km in Vaughan)
  • 6 new stations in total (2 in Vaughan)
  • $2 Billion project
  • Anticpated completion date of early 2015
