Blue Box Recycling - What's Acceptable?

Blue boxes that contain non acceptable materials will not be collected.



Set out reminders:

  • Use only City approved recycling containers
  • Do not overfill boxes
  • Empty, rinse and remove lids of all acceptable food and bevarage containers before placing them in the blue box
  • Corrugated Cardboard must be flattened and bundled in a size not exceeding 0.6 m x 0.6 m x 0.3 m (2 ft x 2 ft x 1 ft). Boxes will not be collected unless broken down and bundled
  • Be familiar of materials accepted in the City's recycling (blue box) program (i.e. no plastic wrap, no styrofoam etc.)
