Leaf and Yard - Composting Facility
TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF ASIAN LONG HORNED BEETLE (ALHB) RESIDENTS IN THE ASIAN LONG HORNED BEETLE REGULATED AREA, (HWY 27 TO THE WEST, RUTHERFORD RD. TO THE NORTH, DUFFERIN ST. TO THE EAST, AND STEELES AVE. TO THE SOUTH) WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE (DROP OFF) WOODY MATERIAL (BRANCHES) AT MILLER WASTE COMPOST FACILITY. Please call the Region of York for disposal options. Summer: April 1 – November 30
Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Winter: December 1 to March 31
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Closed Saturday

Closed on Statutory Holidays

Cost:
No charge for York Region residents that deliver less than 1 cubic yard.

Loads greater than 1 cubic yard will be charged $65.00 per tonne.

What's accepted:




Leaves, shrubs
Grass clippings, branches
Weeds, flowers and garden plants
Vegetable garden waste, sod (small quantities)


What's not accepted:









Tree branches and brush larger than 15 cm. (6 in.) in diameter and 1.8 m. (6 ft.) long
Stumps and root balls
Driveway and road sweepings
Kitchen and food waste
Animal droppings
Rocks and stones
Dirt and topsoil
Yard waste in plastic bags (must be emptied on site)
