Collection Time

• Waste materials SHALL BE placed out for collection no later than 7:00 a.m. on the designated day of collection.

Placement of Waste Materials

• On the day of collection, waste materials MUST be placed at the designated collection area, as approved by the City.
• The designated collection area and access route MUST be clear of vehicles, snow, ice, and other possible obstructions that may impede or obstruct the collection of waste materials.
• Waste materials MUST be placed in an orderly fashion to allow for easy access by collection crews and does not require collection crews to move bins / toters manually. Clearly separate garbage bins from recycling toters.
• Garbage bins and recycling toters MUST not be overflowing.
• Garbage bins and recycling toters MUST be in good working order.
• Garbage bins and recycling toters MUST be free of any ‘contaminants’ (i.e. materials not accepted in the City’s collection programs).
• Bulky Items and Large Appliances (i.e. sofas, mattresses, and fridges) MUST be set out at the designated collection area, but kept separate from other waste materials.

REMINDER: ADHERE TO ALL SET OUT REQUIREMENTS
If access is unattainable or garbage toters / recycling bins are not out, the collection contractor is not required to go back until the next scheduled pick up day.

Failure to adhere to any of the City’s set out requirements may result in non collection of waste materials.
