At a special presentation in Council Chambers today, representatives from TD Canada Trust presented the City of Vaughan with a cheque for $25,000 in support of Vaughan Celebrates events ? Winterfest, Concerts in the Park and Canada Day.

?TD Canada Trust has always been a leader in supporting City events and it?s wonderful to see these large corporations taking pride in celebrating with the community,? said Regional Councillor and Acting Mayor Joyce Frustaglio, who accepted the cheque at today?s Committee of the Whole meeting. ?As a Presenting Sponsor, TD Canada Trust has helped the City deliver these first-class events featuring high-calibre entertainment and activities for residents and visitors of all ages to enjoy.?

Organized by the City?s Corporate Communications Department, these community events have been sponsored for the past five consecutive years by TD Canada Trust, with a total contribution of $125,000. Their staff also have a presence at the events. 

Vince Aguanno, Vice-President, Vaughan and Downsview, TD Commercial Banking; Anthony Morra, Manager, Commercial Banking; and Jack Borges, Relationship Manager, presented the cheque on behalf of TD Canada Trust.
