receive input on proposed Official Plan Amendment 604, which amends Official
Plan Amendments 332, 350 and 600, as well as amendments to Zoning By-law
1-88 for lands located on the Oak Ridges Moraine, will be held on:

The Province of Ontario proclaimed the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation
Act on December 12, 2001. The Act is designed to provide direction for
the protection of ecologically sensitive features on the Oak Ridges Moraine.
In accordance with Section 9 of the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act
and Ontario Regulation 141/02, the City of Vaughan is required to bring
its Official Plan and Zoning By-law into conformity with the Oak Ridges
Moraine Conservation Plan by October 22, 2003.
In doing so, amendments to the policies and schedules in Official Plan
Amendments 332, 350 and 600, as well as amendments to the Zoning By-law
1-88, are being proposed for the lands on the Oak Ridges Moraine.
Any member of the public may attend the hearing to provide comments.
Comments may also be mailed to the Community Planning Department at the
same address or faxed to 905-832-6080 prior to the hearing (please quote
file name and number).
Additional information may be obtained from Eric Taylor (extension 8214)
or Karen Antonio-Hadcock (extension 8630) of the Community Planning Department
at 905-832-8565. If you are aware of any other individuals or landowners
who may be interested in this matter, please advise them of the public
hearing. The draft Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law will be available
for viewing in the Planning Department from 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday
through Friday and on the City’s website (www.vaughan.ca), beginning
April 25, 2003.

NOTICE:
The Proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-Law Amendment are
being processed in accordance with the provisions of the Oak Ridges Moraine
Conservation Act, which designates the Minister of Municipal Affairs and
Housing as the approval authority. As such, these amendments are not subject
to appeal.
