The My Vaughan Shines Program is an important visual component of the City's “Winterlights Program". Residents are encouraged to celebrate the festive season and showing their community spirit by decorating their neighbourhoods and streets as well as their businesses through the use of energy efficient lighting.

In 2011, the My Vaughan Shines Program showcases the following initiatives:
- “My Vaughan Shines” float entered into the 2011 Santafest Parade, sponsored by the City of Vaughan and Powerstream.
- View LED lights and animated displays through November 28, 2011 to January 3, 2012 at the “Winter Wonderland Park” located at Vellore Cultural Interpretative Centre, 9541 Weston Road, Woodbridge, sponsored by the City of Vaughan and Powerstream.
- The core areas in Maple, Woodbridge, Kleinburg, Concord and Thornhill are decorated with lighting and festive banners, sponsored by the City of Vaughan.
