2008 REPORT ON MUNICIPAL PERFORMANCE

The City of Vaughan is pleased to publish its eighth report under the provincial Municipal Performance Measurement Program (MPMP). All Ontario municipalities are required to file an annual report to the Province and to the public setting out performance data on solid waste, sewers, water, transportation, and other issues.

MUNICIPAL PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT PROGRAM

The provincial Municipal Performance Measurement Program (MPMP) was established in 2000. It was the first of its kind in North America and requires all Ontario municipalities to file an annual report to the Province and to the public setting out performance data on solid waste, sewers, water, transportation (roads and public transit), fire, police, land use planning and general government. The report includes an explanation and objective of each measure and where applicable, notes to explain the data to help put it in context.
