Doors Open Vaughan
September 26-27, 2009/10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

You are invited to take a look inside at some of Vaughan's most historically, culturally, architecturally and environmentally significant buildings.

Seventeen specially selected buildings will open their doors to the public free-of-charge for this two-day event. Learn about the city’s rich history and discover its modern vibe.

From the thrills of Canada's Wonderland to the serenity of the Kortright Conservation Area, Vaughan’s numerous attractions are sure to keep your family entertained. Enjoy an afternoon of fun and games at Dave & Buster's followed by a night at the movies at either the Colossus Woodbridge or AMC Interchange 30 theatres. Explore the new Vaughan Mills mall where the entire family is sure to find something new. Consider a visit to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg to take in Canadian art and culture at its best. Canada's Wonderland
Canada’s Wonderland is home to the most exhilarating collection of rides, roller coasters and water park fun in all of Canada. The Park features 68 exciting rides including 15 thrilling roller coasters.

New for 2010 – Planet Snoopy; Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang welcome kids of all ages to a brand new kid’s area featuring 3 new rides! The Park also debuts 2 live shows; Snoopy Rocks! On Ice, and MTV Games’ Rock Band Live! A one-of-a-kind multimedia experience that combines the thrill of a stage show with live music that’s guaranteed to jolt your inner rocker into overdrive!

McMichael Canadian Art Collection

The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, nestled in 100 acres of stunning woodland, is renowned for showcasing 20th-century Canadian art. The gallery features works by Group of Seven, First Nations, Inuit and contemporary Canadian artists as well as special exhibitions. The Gallery Shop specializes in one-of-a-kind gifts and fun family programs are offered throughout the year. The McMichael is the perfect destination to enjoy an authentic Canadian experience!

Kortright Conservation Area
As Canada's largest environmental education centre, Kortright provides a variety of unique learning opportunities to the public, to school children and to other groups who visit the 800 acres of green space. Kortright is home to Canada's largest demonstrations of renewable energy technology. The conservation area has over 18 kilometres of trails through mixed woods and open parkland.

Boyd Conservation Area
Located on Islington Avenue, north of Highway #7, the Boyd Conservation Area is situated on 96 hectares (237 acres). It offers a number of designated nature trail for hiking and walking.

 
Village of Kleinburg
Welcome to the Village of Kleinburg, where you will find that the atmosphere of early Canadian traditions and architecture still prevail. There are many exciting things to do in the surrounding area, so come make a day of your visit and savour all that Kleinburg has to offer.
