Vaughan Fire Rescue Service teamed up with the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council on 15 February 07. The teachers needed to teach a lesson on preventing childhood injuries and then submit it. With over 1400 entries, the winner of the Grand Prize Trip to Orlando, Florida was Ms. Rosanna Iannetta of Holy Family Catholic school in Vaughan. Councillor Alan Shefman of Ward 5, Ontario Fire Marshal Pat Burke,Vaughan Fire Chief Greg Senay and Art Pullen of the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council were all on hand to present the award. Councillor Shefman also presented a certificate on behalf of Mayor Jackson & Members of Council.
