| Cemeteries
The City of Vaughan manages eight active and eleven inactive cemetery
sites. Vaughan’s early pioneer heritage can be traced through a
study of some of our cemetery sites such as Hope Primitive Cemetery
and Old Methodist Cemetery where the parents of former Prime Minister
Lester B. Pearson’s parents are buried.
Nashville Cemetery has a war memorial dedicated to a number of
young men who lost their lives in World War I, which, if put in
perspective for the size of the community at the time, must have
touched everyone in the village in some way.
