Description of Services:

The Department of Recreation and Culture is responsible for the promotion and provision of fair and equitable recreation and culture programs and services throughout the City of Vaughan. Recreation and Culture facilities provide opportunities for positive lifestyle choices for all residents while recognizing the human diversity of the community.

Programs and services are available for infants through to seniors and are offered at a variety of venues including community centres, heritage houses, the "City Playhouse", parks and Board of Education facilities.

The Department of Recreation and Culture is committed to the protection, conservation and enhancement of the natural heritage environment.
